Samantha spotted by Karen in "Repeat-A-Rooney."
Samantha was originally approached by Karen Rooney in the episode Repeat-A-Rooney. Parker made her a pair of glasses with a computer frame that gave her inside information on various students, and Samantha's school life was plagued with two tardies, and the threat of detention over a third. Later after Joey lost a potential girlfriend after failing to impersonate a jock, the two of them had a chance encounter at school, when she spotted Joey with a Shakespearean cap in his hands that Liv gave away, assuming he too was into Shakespeare.
In Grandma-A-Rooney, Joey and Artie were seeking girls to invite to a party at the Rooney house to watch the "Lover's Comet," which according to legend, would lead you to the person you were meant to be with for the rest of your life, once it reached its apex. Samantha was one of three girls that Joey invited, after some persuasion. Artie has no idea who she was, but recognized that she drank two cartons of chocolate milk for lunch. Joey knew who she was, and that she was in the drama club, and was heavily into Shakespeare. Joey attempted to woo her with 16th century English, and though she was charmed by his style of invitation, she was still better at it than he was.
